Inspirational Speeches for Students Help Them Learn the Importance of Empathy

Inspirational Speeches Students Get Help Learning the Importance of Empathy

Empathy is simply defined as the capacity to appreciate and share the feelings of another individual. It is an important life skill that we, as adults, often fail to teach to our children. Students with empathy do not engage in bullying. Empathy is a key skill for experiencing success in business and future careers.

Inspirational Speeches for Students Provides Skills to Improve Empathy

Empathetic individuals see the world from a variety of viewpoints, which broadens their horizons. Being empathetic makes it easier for an individual to motivate others. This is the purpose of many inspirational speeches for students, teaching them the importance of empathy in order to become better school citizens, community citizens, and global citizens.

The skill of empathy is interwoven with a myriad of important life skills. These are skills that our students need, to achieve not only future success in the business world but also in the private world. Empathy is intertwined with many key factors needed to be as successful as human beings.

Empathy gives us an awareness of our own emotions and the ability to manage those emotions. It becomes much easier to deal with other people when we can manage our own emotions. Rather than becoming extremely angry and lashing out, we can take the time to try understanding where the other person is coming from, take the time to develop an appropriate response to the situation. Inspirational speeches for students can instill the idea that the positive influence from being empathic affects not only one's own life but on the lives of those around us.

Respect and Acceptance Taught through Inspirational Speeches for students

Respect and Acceptance Taught through Inspirational Speeches for studentsI don't know about you, but I often look at the issues the world is facing, and the words being thrown around by various individuals, and I wonder what kind of a difference we would see if everyone practiced respect and acceptance. In our culture, we often preach the concepts, but they are not often seen in practice. How many wars would be prevented if people took the care and time to get to know each other, to really listen to the different opinions, to respect a difference in opinion, and accept that we will never always agree with each other?

Never mind the world, how about our schools? Just imagine how different our schools would be if everyone, the principal, teachers, support staff, parents, and students all practiced empathy. As our skills in empathy grow, so does our ability to handle conflict appropriately, our ability to accept differences, and our ability to handle the pressure. This is what I want for my school, for my students, for myself.

Bringing in an individual to rally a school to become more empathetic through inspirational speeches for students seems to me as an excellent starting point.

Brad Hurtig is one individual bringing his unique story and passion into the schools through his inspirational speeches for students. The challenges he has overcome after losing both hands in a workplace accident while still in high school teaches students that being different is just fine. His words inspire students to celebrate differences and become more empathetic and caring towards each other.
